The opener is often not engaged.
Depending on the type of opener you have you may need to pull up or back on the emergency release cord that hangs just about head level.
This is likely a photocell problem it could be a faulty cell or it may just be bumped out of alignment so make sure they face each other.
Also check that wires were not snagged or cut where you lean all your shovels and rakes in the corner.
Usually the intermediate hinges are neglected while the rollers get soaked with lube.
Spray lube (no heavy grease) the inner hinges between each section.

Watch for very low quotes over the phone or in ads, such as a service call for only $19.95 or a spring replacement for $79.00.
They may come out for that price but that will not be the final bill.
Many service technicians are paid a 20% commission of the final bill.
So they will not be happy to come out for $4.
They have quotas to meet and do not intend to leave with out a final bill of $300.00 to $700.00.
This is not entirely illegal but is certainly wrong in my opinion.
I could tell you some horror stories.
They may come out for that price but that will not be the final bill.

There are some very inexpensive openers that I prefer to use for the simple reason that I rarely have to go back to do a free service call.
By trial and error I have found a narrow window of openers that I recommend.
I will install any opener, yours or mine.
But I can cover not just labor and workmanship but parts too if I install an opener I bring to the job.
When getting complete door and opener prices make sure that it includes all new hardware and parts then check to make sure that none of your old door or opener was used.
