This could lead to serious injury or death from being hit by a closing garage door or from being trapped under the door.
The pushbutton wall control should be out of the reach of children (at least 5 feet from the floor) and away from all moving parts.

1. Frame the rough opening for the garage door to 3 inches wider than the garage door you have selected.
2. Measure the distance from the bottom plate of the wall to a point that is 1 1/2 inches higher that the garage door height.
Cut four 2 x 4 trimmers to this length and nail two each to either side of the rough opening.
These trimmers should be on edge just as the studs in the wall rather than flat.
4. Nail or screw 2 x 6 jambs to the framing on the top first and then the sides of the rough opening.
